Welcome to the homepage for M.G. Dekle, author of the Legends of Leone YA Fantasy series.

M.G. Dekle (born August 2, 1983) began writing at a young age and continues to love storytelling. He studied literature at the University of South Florida, earning a Master of Arts degree, and continues to teach Composition classes at local schools.

He began writing in elementary school and found creative teachers who helped guide him as he developed his love of books. Throughout childhood, he would wake up extra early just to read more tales of King Arthur, Robin Hood, and any other fantastical stories before the sun came up. In high school, a production by the drama club of one of his plays, performed for local elementary schools, cemented his path to becoming a writer.

His works are usually centered around fantasy and humor, focusing on the characters as they encounter unusual predicaments. He likes for every story he writes to have at least some humorous aspect.

He is also a husband and father. When not writing, he and his family love to visit theme parks and travel.

I’m almost done with the first book and I came searching for updates about the next one! I’m sad to finish reading and not know what will happen next 😄 I am thoroughly enjoying The Crystal Ordeal and I love the banter between Leone and Falchion. Excited for book # 2 and thank you for this great adventure!

I’m glad you’ve enjoyed it! Sorry about the slow response. WordPress e-mailed me in the past when new comments came up, but nothing showed up for me this time. The second book is coming along, slowly but surely. I’m working toward a release by the end of the year, or more realistically by the middle of 2016. I know this is an awful release schedule, so I’ll be working on that. Having two tiny children running around tends to distract from writing quite a bit (for example, as I write this, my youngest has decided to play with the toilet).

  4. First off, I’d like to say that I absolutely adore your book. I’ve read it countless times over the past three-ish years that I’ve possessed it, and I always enjoy reading it again as much as I did when I read it the first time. Falchion and Leone are one of my favorite literary duos. Considering the countless number of character pairs that have crossed my path before, this is not an easy feat to have accomplished. I love their chemistry and friendship. I have enjoyed watching it evolve throughout the course of the book. I love their adventures, which are riveting and amusing.
I also greatly appreciate that this book is very clean, which means that a much wider range of age groups can enjoy this book. I really wish more people would give it a chance, as I think they’d enjoy it as much as I have. My only qualm with this book is that there isn’t another one. I completely understand that you’re very busy, and I have no wish to rush you. However, it would be very nice to have a time frame of when book two will come out, to make the wait easier. Thank you!

Sorry for the very late response. WordPress sometimes forgets to let me know when there are new messages.

I’m glad you enjoyed the book! There is a new one in the works (a few, for that matter), but the time frame is a bit trickier to make. I’ll be posting updates here and on Facebook once I have more info to share.
